The FMPerception 22.0.0 update introduces full support for the latest wave of AI-related script steps and functions added by Claris in the FileMaker 2025 release. If FileMaker can do it, FMPerception can now analyze it.

With this version, FMPerception adds support for new script steps and understands the new AI-centric functions, providing a wider view of FileMaker’s new AI capabilities, because you can immediately see where these features are used across your codebase and how they connect to everything else.

Beyond compatibility, additional improvements include localization for Get functions for French and German developers. We’ve also added indirect sources for the new script steps and temporarily hidden the unreliable Refresh command while we rethink how it should work.

As always, there are a few known limitations, most of which come from the DDR XML itself. A few Unicode emojis still don’t display correctly (Claris is working on that), and some newer layout and AI configuration settings haven’t yet made their way into the DDR spec. We’ve reported these to Claris and will update FMPerception as soon as the data becomes available.

FMPerception continues to be built around a simple principle: developers deserve instant, reliable insight into what’s happening inside their FileMaker apps. That’s especially important now that FileMaker 2025 adds AI functionality that spans new models, schema integrations, and data generation. With version 22.0.0, you can explore, debug, and document all of it — right from the tool you already trust.
